So, BF and I are taking steps toward OUR life. It's going to be uphill for him, I know, but he wants it just as much as I do, and the pay-off will be HUGE. Not necessarily financially, though that will also come in time, knowing us. We're sick people, both of us, but in a good way...we belong together, even in a padded cell

So anyway, we got through a small transaction last night and went to his co-worker's bar. OUR bar.
Friend: usade, BF, I gotta ask...I mean, you guys are obviously a good couple...don't you want kids together?
usade:....*crickets chirping*
BF:.......*crickets chirping*
Friend: C'mon!
BF: She's the MAN! I think HE's impotent!
usade: My GF *thumb in BF's direction* doesn't want to get pregnant. She keeps turning on her stomach!
BF: UNDER the bed! My mom taught me to have safe sex!

We had a good laugh, and when we got home, I laid out my "plan" of a future with a child in OUR life. No entitlement. "Hard work". Delayed gratification. Every parent wants to be able to give their child/ren everything. That's understandable, but not necessarily healthy. It's giving their child/ren what is useful on their path to responsible adulthood which is really important. Just my little passive way of saying, YES, I do want the whole shabang with you, and YES, I do believe in planned parenthood, and NO, despite everyone else's X-Ray vision and ability to see my little bonnet-wearing eggs, I'm not looking to get knocked up this Spring!
