So planning a weekend with Awesomeson, DIL and granddaughter.  Chef is going to help Awesomeson do a major electrical job at their house (60 amp to 200).

Awesome son has used his points to get us a free hotel room while the electric is off for DIL, DGD and me.

It's only a two-hour trip away but what is it with guys once they have showered and dressed not realizing all of the little chores that need to be done before you leave the house?  I see Chef just sitting there web surfing while I run around like a madwoman watering the plants, taking the cans and bottles back, packing, pet preparations, making sure the security cams are working and ready to go etc.

I finally dropped enough hints where he bags the bottles and cans for me to take back.  Which is proper anyways because I'm not a big soda nor beer drinker and 99% of the cans and bottles are his.

Shades of my father waiting in the car ready to go to church or somewhere and honking the horn at my mother while she makes last minute preparations to leave.

Same. All I care about is that trash is taken out, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, air/heat adjusted, and doors locked. DH gets impatient if we're not on the road 15 minutes prior to our agreed-upon time.

He starts in on the impatience dance and I slow waaaaay down until he decides to help.

I'm afraid I have the opposite - I have a witterer ... He double checks everything, including everything I or our daughters have gotten ready. Asks if we're absolutely sure we've done something. AAARRGGHH! Drives us nuts.
