O. M. G!!! Court UPDATE!!!!

thinkthrice's picture

OMG OMG OMG

Apparently the Girhippo sent a letter to the court just before Christmas stating that she nor her attorney have any intention of appearing at today's court date AND that she does NOT want to bear the stress of dealing with Chef anymore, so therefore, she will relinquish any further child support payments on behalf of SD19 AND YSS15!!!!!

OMG OMG OMG!!!!

It's too bad Chef's attorney wasn't there as it could have been finalized right there and then. Chef's attorney, who has done good things in the past, doesn't particularly care for the magistrate in Podunk county and didn't appear. Which got Chef all flustered because:

1. Podunk county family court did not send Chef this letter from the Girhippo
2. Podunk county family court LOST Chef's income info that had been submitted, therefore it threw Chef for a LOOP when they presented it to him to fill out. . .AGAIN!!

OMG OMG OMG OMG

Should I buy a lottery ticket and tempt fate? Of course if will probably NOT be retroactive to the filing date. Any legal eagles out there with any advice? We will be sending a copy of this letter to our attorney.

I'm pretty sure that:

1. the Girhippo DIDN'T want the court to find out about her artificially lowering her income (becoming a casino waitress instead of keeping her lucrative CPS supervisor job with the county)

2. she didn't want the court to find out that she had put the skids on StepDaddyBigBucks insurance without letting Chef know

3. she didn't want the court to find out about her SIDE businesses

4. she didn't want Chef dictating the bare minimum of requirements for college on her precious mini-mes.

In her letter, she suggested that Chef "repair the damaged relationship with the children"
If she's so stressed out about items 1-4 above, it's obvious she only cares about herself and not the children!! PASinator to the max, this Girhippo.

Chef states he will eventually write the skids when the CS stops--I don't think he will ever return to the mega-uber guilty daddy that he once was now that the skids are all grown up for all intensive purposes!!

HALLELUJAH!! I was praying and mantra-ing intensely over these past couple of months. . .

I cannot wait for the day that I can post about CS finally being over. It's a nightmare sometimes.

We both won the lottery!

Just like BM I deal with, make it sound like the poor widdle skids were abandoned!

A friend of mine saw SS with BM the day after he was emancipated. This friend has sons around SS's age so she has seen SS in casual settings. She said, "It's so weird how he acts when he is with BM, like he's 10 years younger." Yep, keep them infantile so they always need you.

It's fantastic news! I have to say though- will NY accept her letter just like that? Maybe for SD, but CS for 15yr old?

Seems very odd.

Being a NYS resident, I would advise not to count your chickens until the judge has signed a new order. Fingers crossed for you.

That's what I'm thinking because New York state will say that children have the right to financial support from both parents blah blah blah and the fact that Chef overpaid for years and years and years doesn't enter into.

That's awesome! But I agree with ntm... here's to hoping you don't get some prick judge who just lowers the CS.

I’m happy for you but skeptical.

I get why you think she did it but I can’t help but feel that there’s more to this.
Something has happened to make her change her tune and I wonder what it is.

I think she was planning on collecting CS through age 24-26 for SD19 as long as she kept failing her way through community college. Now that Chef has asked for some sort of accountability, she's not liking it and realizing that the CO can be revised.

She had the gall to say that Chef was lying when the paperwork stated that re-unification attempts by Chef were denied!! We have the name of the friggin' counselor at the High School who would verify this!!!

Excellent!

SD14 asked us at dinner the other night, "...I'm going to college in only 4 years and SD11 in only 6! What are you guys going to do after we're both in college?"

Me, without hesitation, "Party like crazy!"

Biggrin Biggrin Biggrin

SD14, "No, really, what are you going to do?"

Me, again without hesitation, "Party like crazy!"
