Girhippo--The Svengali

Talk about a totally enmeshed family!!
OSS21 (pothead, would be "rock star") gets a job as a dishwasher at the local casino last year. The Gir quits her job as CPS supervisor to be a server at same casino.

Girhippo then quits the casino gig and becomes a foster parent worker. Which prompts OSS to quit the casino job and start working with his sister (SD19) at the local pizzeria.

Too bad the skids didnt learn Chef's lucrative construction trade skills instead of bouncing around from minimum wage job to minimum wage job. And they were never encouraged academically by the Gir.

YSS15 has had 25 illegal skips and lates plus 7 disciplines since the first week of September.

Guess YSS was getting into too much trouble unsupervised when she was at the casino so she went back to her old trade of pretending to be an expert on "family."

Oh and we're still waiting for the Gir to return those CS payments due to her wanting "no financial support from Chef." Not holding our breath.

Bleck! Gotta love that crazy thing... Honestly super close families freak me out a bit in general... When I first moved down here I started realizing how close his family was... They just show up unannounced... Go through everyone's things, and they all see that as TOTALLY fine... To me it was not... So as enmeshed as yours are to even work at the same places and quit jobs based on if someone else changes jobs... That's just ridiculous!!!

Also I wouldn't hold my breathe... All that job bouncing probably means she's spent it 10 times over already....

She has StepDaddyBigBucks as the main source of income so she is free to quit jobs as she pleases. CS is spent on her semi-monthly vacations.

If only semi-monthly vacations were a thing for us... I think nearly everyone on this site could use one!

BM and OSD got jobs at the same place in at least 3 different locations. Always minimum wage. Then BM would get fired for various reasons so OSD would quit. Thankfully, OSD moved a state away and has had the same job now for I believe about 2 years. I think she finally has broken free from BM. Oddly, BM has also had the same job all by herself at the same place. Which is darn near a miracle for her to have the same job for so long. My guess is she's hot on someone there.

Years ago my mom managed a pharmacy and both my sister and I worked there while in college. They had such problems with employees stealing which is what lead my mom to hire us.

Big difference is my family are workers and educated. We all worked there at one time or another doing deliveries or behind the counter.

It was hard to work and live with family. Thankfully I had two other jobs and went to college full time so I was busy...my sister worked there full time and went to college full time as well.

The only advantage we had is that we had to cover each others shifts if needed.

Years later after I moved away I once had to fill in for my mom because she had a funeral on a Saturday when I was home visiting...like falling off a bike...lol.

I got my daughter into a contract helpdesk job at Xerox back almost 18 years ago. Before that she was working at a "local" (read 35 minutes away) theatre and was promoted to manager. After her contract was done at Xerox she up and got married to a co-worker at Xerox! After that we have had separate employment ever since.
