Christmas here was good, we spent quality time together and as we live in a different country to the skids and ALL our other relatives we are spared any visits or stress that usually occurs from those type of situations.
What DOES happen is that DH gets the Adult Skids 'blues', he never receives any cards from them and in 2014 I can count on one hand the number of times they dropped him a line (email).
He reaches out to them, can't get hold of them first attempt, manages ass1 on the second attempt, she ALWAYS makes him wait. DH lurved the chat with her, which was followed by his usual speech about how WELL she is doing, she is much better now? Matured, and well obviously cured, I guess?? I do the usual stuff listen, but not add anything to it and then once DH has finished waxing lyrical, the convo moves on. No worries.
Ass2 cannot be reached, DH leaves messages and messages. It's no great mystery to me why he cannot be reached ( no credit on phone, and or, doesn't want to talk to DH)
From other family members/ friends the ass2 mystery is solved, and results in DH asking me if I have scary super mind powers to forsee the future, as I called all this,lol. Ass2, is no longer with pregnant gf 19, he now has a new teen gf :sick: . He is still unemployed, the huge responsibilty of being a Father was not "big" enough over the last several months to get him motivated to find even a pt job.... He is still claiming benefits but has started a course (partly I think he has been made to do this as he has been unemployed so long, and new guidelines about losing your benefits, etc, if you don't seek a course) Not getting too excited about this as ass2 has hardly any qualifications and dropped out of school before. Perhaps, he is retaking basic subjects like Maths, English, etc, I hear you ask? No. The course is for "Performing Arts!!!" WTH ??
Anywhoo, I'm rambling on,as I said DH is in awe of my super powers,lol. Errr, no, I just know the skids too well, and know EXACTLY what they are like..... DH did raise the topic of a visit back for a week in the Summer, we had a little discussion over it, but now after all the news this Christmas DH seems to have changed his mind...
We shall see.....

I have predicted the future
I have predicted the future of both SS' years ago. This was privately to family bc DSO would have never believed me anyway.
OSS21. I predicted dropping out of school and jail by 16, he was 17.5 and dropped out as soon as he turned 16. Predicted he would serve more time than they said for poor behavior....he ended up being there 2.5 years bc he couldn't achieve a certain level.
YSS15. If he hadn't assaulted or killed anyone first, he would be in jail by 15 bc of his explosive temper and physical violence at age 5. He has been in juvie and treatment centers since 13.
SD, stb 14....Predicted high school drop out and pregnant by 16. She is doing good so far, but she has 3 years to go.

Yes, it's funny that us SMs have this amazing power. Yes, I have voiced my concerns to DH over the years, especially when skids were young, but since I disengaged, I don't bother now, unless DH asks me a specific question,( and even then you have to be careful not to fall into the old trap of being the "wicked" SM :jawdrop: )
Yes, I predicted it all, DH is much better than he used to be, and recovers the blues a little quicker now ..... and his handling of the adult skids is getting better and better.

Quick update to this, a "chatty friend" was enquiring about ass2 and had some info about the now ex pregnant gf. Ass2 told DH that she was 19 she is in fact 17 :jawdrop:
So younger and dumber, meh..... Not surprised ass2 lied to DH, just another reminder to me to stay disengaged and not believe ONE thing that skids say! Not telling DH about it, wouldn't make any difference and well, there is probably more to come....ass2 HAS moved onto the next teen gf...... Anyone wanting to place bets how long it is until DH is graced with another phone call from ass2 with more "news"????
