Had SD7 this weekend, got her hair chopped. Goes back to BM today and SO gets his nightly phone call at 745pm. BM chirping in he back ground talking thru SD (put in CO BM is not allowed to talk to SO thru SD) BM continues SO tells SD she doesn't have to repeat it. Then the convo changes to the nickname I call SD ( tried at dinner yesterday to figure out a nickname for SD seeing how DD has one, SD laughing says call me buttface. We all made a joke and I said no lol) fast forward to Sd being with BM crazy pants. BM griping hat I call SD buttface and how it's rude and wrong and blah blah fuken blah!! So now I'm the jerk. How does that even work?!?!?? Ummm SD gave herself that name you crazy pants! Get the real facts first like come on.

Things can get mixed by any parent birth or step when you are dealing with a 7 year old. I wouldn't worry too much about it. But Io see that maybe even though butt face is a silly name and may make her laugh that her Mother may be worried that she will repeat it at school etc.

What a crazy thing to gripe about. I would've felt for her a little more if she had a gripe about you getting her hair cut. That's happened and been talked about lots here before. But to lose her marbles over a silly nickname is crazy.

I once got yelled at for being a horrible, awful wretch who was forcing skids into slave labor because we were talking about getting a dog and I jokingly said, "But who will pick up the poop when you're not with us?" and was laughing the whole time. Yeah, that flipped to I said we can't get a dog unless skid comes over every day to pick up its poop because I wasn't going to do it myself. :?
