Quote Like Reply to Post .i went to my mom's to help her with my grandparents and clean HER house for her. i wound up staying the night because i got started late and wouldn't be able to get much sleep had i gone home. so all is well, i go take a shower, after wrapping it up and i fall, i started to go through the curtain, knowing the cabinet was close i did all i could to keep from falling that way and hitting my head/knocking myself out. so i then hit my hip HARD and then went to my wrist to avoid serious injury to my hip, felt like i bruised my wrist, then shifted my weight (to avoid breaking my hand) to my knee which is sore too but only sore

however, it hurts like hell to walk. (its in the bone behind my cheek) i sit, and it throbs at about a 5 on a hospital scale, but when i get up to walk or move AT ALL at first it's almost intolerable, then repositing myself to sit again hurts. i have an appointment today, this afternoon to make sure it's nothing more than a bruised bone. i told my mom if it was broken i wouldn't be able to walk (barley can).........anyone know anything on these types of injuries??? should i have gone to er??? this is the first time i've had anything like this, the skin is somewhat red, no bruising...........but i want to cry

Yeah you probably need to do to an urgent care center or see your regular doctor. Those falls can really jar you and at least you can get something from them to reduce the discomfort. Just bc there is no actual bruise doesn't mean you aren't hurt. I took a spill 6 months ago walking UP some stairs (I am clumsy), and I am paying for it still with neck pain.

you are doing the right thing going to the doctor. i don't want to scare you, but something could have happened with your back. my roommate a few years back had a bad fall and it created bulging disks. it wasn't good for about a year years and she ended up needing surgery.

it may be worth it to see a good chiropractor.

it's highly possible it's a deep bruise, those are very painful. i had one on my chest and it took about a week for the bruise to show up. it felt like i broke a bunch of ribs when it happened.

keep us posted on how you are doing.

well, pain is becoming severe it's moving through my body (still centralized in that area) but down my leg, and up in my back (mostly on my right side)

i'd be going NOW but the doc i'm going to is squeezing me in today---otherwise, it'd be er visit after work

also, i relax and it just throbs, but the more i rest, and then move the worse it hurts Sad

is the pain going up your back and down your leg like nerve pain. sharp shooting pain? does it reach your toes? or does it feel like the dull throbbing pain just pulsing out when you move and stuff?

pulsing when sitting, and when pulses it ripple effects out, not quite to my feet but close, and consistant pain when movement PERIOD (adjustment in chair, moving my spine-not AS bad there, or getting up to walk, then walking i am crutching on what i can to relieve it somewhat) when i sit or stand i am using the arms of my desk chair to help me up and down gently

it doesn't sound like nerve pain. i would say that is good. but i'm no doctor!

are you putting ice on it? taking ibuprofen for swelling? those are things the doctor told me to do and it helps.

i hope you feel better soon!

no i don't think it's nerve pain, i think it's bruised or minor fracture in the bone. i've been taking pain killer's iced and heat last night
