BM accusing us of claiming SD on taxes

sadlonelyone's picture

When I don't even know SD's SSN, it doesn't benefit us as we don't get EIC with our other 2 kids, didn't get an extra $1400 of stimulus, and haven't fit the criteria of being a primary residence ever. When will BM stop always blaming DH for her shortcomings and trying to keep herself relevant?

She will never stop because she is aphsycho b!tch. And they never run out of things.

I had that happen (if you have any interest at all read my blogs)

BM Toxic Troll, since she isnt working, "gave" us claim rights that were court given to her. I had her sign the form relinquishing her claim rights to SD14 and what does she do?

Firstly she texted DH "I want my half of child tax credit" Which is and has been for a long time $2,000. Then she argued about the amount because she was used to getting $3,400. Which includes the EIC that we dont get. When DH told her the amount, she continued arguing and because I was the person doing the taxes, told DH that 'cLove doesnt know what she is doing obviously', because thats the amount she always got.

FINALLY TT figured out that amount included EIC that we did not qualify for.

THEN she started harrassing DH about the amount of time the refund was taking 'its been longer than the 21 days'. Yes the IRs un understaffed, perhaps her non-working self can apply because they are backlogged into 2019.

We got the darn refund, and then she also wanted "her half of the stimulus $$ for child".

DH gave her the darn $$ and we both agree that no more "favors" from Toxic Troll. I did tell him that legally she relinquished her rights but, he just wanted to shut her up and not give her any excuses to take him back to court for a child support review.

I know its coming anyway. Every three years, its allowed, and I know for certain she will trummp up some kind of accusations and some kind of victimology to appeal to the family court judge to increase the support amount.

In her defense, SD did live with us October 2020 to March 2021 but it still doesn't fit the definition of 6 months or more for 2020. I did ask DH about it but he didn't even give it a thought before saying he already knew it wouldn't be worth it.

And even if SD continued to live with us throughout 2021, we'd still have let BM claim her until she wasn't a dependent. That's how little we care about claiming SD and DH basically told BM he didn't even consider it.

I just WISH BM could leave us alone for more than 6 months at a time. SD will be 15 soon but it's always something, even now that we live 600 miles away. Hoping she stops calling when SD ages out.

But doesnt go away completely from what Ive been told. Hence the need for bOUNDARIES.

I made a deal with DH that he would block Toxic Troll when Munchkin turns 18 and graduates highschool.

The IRS should be able to cross match that for her.  If she is entitled to claim SD tell her you and DH did not and to go ahead and claim her.  IRS will know that she wasn't claimed it will all be proven.

I wonder is she doing this so you and DH will say no we didn't and show her your taxed to prove it?  I mean not that you would but is that her game?  Maybe she wants to know you business!!

I thought that but don't know what her angle would be.. DH has never claimed SD in the 10 years they've been separated and it doesn't benefit us because we don't qualify for the EIC like BM does. She does fine financially unless she has some massive debt we don't know about. Her dad also just died so im sure she got something.

Ohhhh, sounds like someone snatched her return. She must owe someone something.

What a dork.

You might be able to see IF there is a Judgement against her on her States public court website???

Why do you think she is saying this.

Sorry they just don't stop do they.

I have no idea but it's probably not worth worrying about. I just hate that she is always. fucking. there. no matter how much I avoid her.

Either they rejected her return altogether or she got less than normal? She has had the same job forever and I can't imagine she didn't file taxes way back in February unless she was waiting for something from her dad's death. That wouldn't affect claiming SD, though.
