Crazy BM just posted on FB that she is seriously looking for a professional hit man..(she went on a rant to my BF today). One of her low life friends put "for one person or two, I have a feeling its two". She replied, "two would be nice, but I'll settle for one". Some lovely man put $5000 for the amount he would do it for. Awesome right?! The two people she is referring to are me and my BF.
Sanity is all I ask for. ONE day of it would be great! Ugh.

I reported it to FB…police?! psh, they will laugh. I have been to them 5 times since April. The Corporal told me I can't do anything about conversations with third parties. His exact words "Yes, shes telling people she's going to hurt you but she's not doing it"!

agreed. i think that police are ignorant nowadays, they wait until someone is hurt or dead before they get off their asses and work. its sad but just how it is. report everything, because if u dont and something happens then they say "this could have been prevented had u reported xyz..."

Exactly, no names and yes, its obvious but they won't even make a report. I have texts from her directly to my BF's phone saying shes going to smash my face in - and they won't do a thing. The one cop even told me he was filing harrassment charges and after a month of not getting any paperwork, I learned from her ( through my BF) the charges were dropped - no one told me. That is when I went and spoke to the Corporal.

Yep, sounds like something the police should see. I don't know whether they'd do anything with it, but even if they just contact her & "warn" her, it'd make it worth the paper you print it on.

What she did is solicitation to commit murder. If that wall post makes it to the police, she and the fool who responded will get arrested. The only drawback is there is no proof she was referring to you (even though you know she was), but they will surely be in legal trouble for the hitman post and response. A woman in Philadelphia was arrested last year for the same thing. She asked for a hitman for her child's father. An idiot FB friend of hers responded with how much, give him the money and he would do it. He never collected anything because they were arrested and charged just based on the posts alone. If I were you, I would print it or take a screen shot and take it to the police.

I would find comments like that incredibly disturbing and scary. Not sure how I could just brush it off and ignore it....it's not usually in my nature to take threats of violence and murder-for-hire lightly when directed at ANYONE, much less me and my DH. I would absolutely be contacting the police and providing copies of her page. Even if she's "joking", that's not something that sane people joke about, especially on a public forum for the "intended victim" to see and fret over. This is taking it a lot further than just making an off-handed comment, in private, to a friend, about wishing they knew someone that could make life a little less complicated (hint hint nudge smile).
Sorry if someone disagrees with my POV, but I would never just ignore a blatant threat to the lives and well-being of myself and my loved ones. This chick is dumb as a bag of rocks for posting such things on FB. Dumb + angry + opportunity = ? I wouldn't wait around to find out. Be proactive and report it, if for nothing other than just your peace of mind. What a psycho. So sorry you are dealing with this, Rosie. Makes you wonder what other lovely tidbits the skids hear from their classy BM, eh? SMH

Thank you everyone. Normally I really don't let her get to me, I've dealt with this kind of crap for 3 years now. Seeing the cops won't do anything for me, I have decided to try and file a private criminal complaint. Unfortunately, our state does not do RO's unless it is a spouse, family memeber or ex-loved one. Weird, but thats our law. It's called a PFA here but I guess what she does, doesn't matter. I reported it to FB and I was told this morning her account is still active AND the post is still there. She also added some comments that the body count is now up to 4 - meaning she now wants 4 people dead. Lovely. It's hard for me to comprehend her anger. It literally consumes her. I don't get how you can wake up every day THAT angry.
