OT Lets think Spring!

queensway's picture

It is 61 degrees today and feels like a spring day outside. YEAH! I know winter is not over but it feels like a tease today. Are you looking forward to Spring? Do you spring clean the house and open the windows? ( we did this every year when I was a child). Do you enjoy yard work when the weather warms up? I can't wait to hear the birds singing outside. Any thoughts today.

Winter is my fave, but I do enjoy Spring flowers and putting together a few pots of flowers outdoors. I dislike weeding, though! I Spring AND Fall clean.

It's so nice today... yesterday I was home, so I did some of my spring cleaning... opened all the windows... was nice to have fresh air.

I do enjoy yard work... I have a nice large yard and beautiful garden, it gives me joy to keep it well maintained. It`s like dusting for outdoors. lol

I`ve started picking out some seeds, too. Exciting times.

It`ll be nice to see people chill out after having been so sour over the winter.

I haven't opened windows yet. But I do look forward to that every year. I am just looking forward to sitting outside again when it gets warmer.

It's not especially nice outside today, here in the northeast where I am, but I can not wait for spring!!! I lived in the desert in Southern California for the last 20 years, where it was literally blue skies 350 days per year, this summer I moved where there are four seasons, and although I love the seasons, I think I have some seasonal depression, add to that a HCBM and the desert is sounding better and better every day.

JK........but please bring on the blue skies, warm weather, and chirping birds Smile

Coco I love to listen to the birds. I have 3 big bird houses I put out every year. I put them back out the beginning of April.

I fave bird sings "Poor Sam... Peabody Peabody Peabody". I can never recall what kind of bird, but I love hearing it and whistling back. Biggrin

Aniki have ever heard a Killdeer bird. They sound like they are singing kill deer.

Summer is my favorite but since we're getting a little more sun here, DH and I will be cleaning the windows soon enough AND I want to clean the few carpets we have. We're also going to clean out the garage. Then he'll get new flooring in his office. I've promised him that's our next project after I finish painting the walls this month. He's very exited to choose his flooring! Very cute.

However, it's supposed to snow this weekend and be very cold. It's lighter out for longer, but it's definitely not hanging out outside weather yet.

Cover I need to clean my garage. But that is my husbands job. Sounds like you have some good plans. One question are you going to give SD14 a job? I still get a laugh with your post about her working for a hour.

"...give SD14 a job?"
LMAO Blum 3 Blum 3 }:)

NOPE. Not my deal.

However, SDstb12 did help me clean up the front part of the garage all on her own. She asked what I was doing then started helping, no questions. So I gave her a couple tasks she could handle. And did awesome. SD14 stepping foot into the "scary" garage...still LMAO.

In every season, when it drags on, I always long for the next. Although, I think I would rather shovel snow than weed Wink

We are so lucky to have 4 seasons. Smile I am done with the snow. I want to get outside without being cold.

Yep to ALL of this.

It’s currntly 75 degrees here today. We were just in the 40s and 50s last week.

We’re also in the midst of moving out of our condo into an adorable arts and craft home down the road by the end of the month. Our new home has raised garden beds and I’m so excited to start planting.

I’m a big shades and windows wide open ALL the time, but even more so during the months that don’t require the air to be on. So, that’s first on my agenda, along with setting up the bird seed feeder (I’m a bird nerd. Our 4 year old can identify at least a dozen birds), cleaning the new house, and planting some flowers in the adobe planters on our porch.

Momjeans how exciting to move to a new home! Good for you. I can hear the enthusiasm in your post. Smile
