Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

i wont let my kiddo go to
i wont let my kiddo go to bd's on snow days, thats a safety thing but ok, whatever floats your boat
just document it, if she's
just document it, if she's consistant, then he could proabably take her to court for "make up time" i might even go as far as calling the police and see if they can help enforce pu at 2 on saturday...she is denying him visitation and that's enforcable as a smom i'd text bm on dh's phone myself and tell her, if you do not allow me to pick up kiddo at 2 saturday FOR SAFETY i will take any legal action against you necessary. court will be in his favor REAL QUICK
I know huh? I would think
I know huh? I would think that she would think it was a safety issue as the roads are still real bad here. We did attempt to get out last night but we still slid a few times so back home it was. Dh did have to work but I just can't drive is this stuff. I refuse to b/c the last time I did I totaled our car. LOL
well, then just keep
well, then just keep documentation, will not look good on her...and SAVE your texts/e-mails..that will come in handy
This exact same thing
This exact same thing happened on Wednesday for us. FDH texts "Not sure it's safe. Want to pick them up later when the sun has melted some of the ice." She says he has to pick them up at 6AM or not at all. So he says it's safer for them to stay with her then . . . She changes her mind once he calls her bluff and says she'll drop them off at 8 (there's no way she could handle her kids for a whole day). Then Wednesday comes and goes and she waits until 3PM to inform us she's not bringing them after all.
These women are nuts. People should have to undergo some sort of psych evaluation before breeding.
