SD6 reminds me of BM so much it's scary. I can't hold that against the kid, but this child is beyond lazy, beyond helpless, beyond whiney! for instance, every morning they wake up their chores are to make the bed, get dressed, come to breakfast.
SD4 has ZERO problem with making her bed, most of the time, getting dressed and coming to breakfast.

SD6 whines, "it's too hard to make my bed"..." I dont' want to do it"..." I forgot how to do this" OMFG! It's too hard to not want to hit her upside the head and just scream " your fucking sister is younger than you and has no problems..what's yours?!"
(of course I would neve raise a hand nor have I ever)

Then the table manners (or lack there of) start..again, SD4..not the best table manners,(puts elbows on the table..drops napkin off her lap, uses table mat as napkin) ok, she's 4...she has the jist of everything else though..cutting her food with a dull knife, NOT knocking over her cup, making a mimiual mess on the table and NOT talking with her mouth full, and covering her mouth should she have to sneeze/cough..
SD6 on the other hand...creeping christ! first, she starts crying..I mean literally CRYING that she can't cut her egg cake (baked omlet I make for them when they come over) She's couging and not covering her mouth, spraying food all over the place. she ignores me when I tell her to put a napkin on her lap, she is always, always, ALWAYS spilling her cup, if we give her a sippy cup, she fucking FREAKS Out!!! "I"m not a baby give me a grown up cup" and what happens when we give her one? she flips it over in 3 seconds!! HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE??

The greatest was when we were leaving to run an errand, DH was in the garage getting the car ready, SD4 is walking out and SD6 decides to take a sip of water, then proceeds to SPIT IT ALL OVER THE FUCKING KITCHEN FLOOR...I stand there and look at her and she starts tearing up..."why did you do that for" I ask her...she stares at me with her BM's stupid eyes and just shurgs her shoulders...
"you know how to drink from a glass, right?" I ask, just standing there, looking at the puddle on the ground and her drooling face.
"yeah" she responds looking off, trying to move past me to the door.
"Ok, why did you do that then"
she shurgs her shoulders again
You have to clean this mess up, I tell her..and then she starts WAILING CRYING! I didn't yell at her! nor did I even raise my voice!
she cries " what do I clean it up with??" I tell her to use a papertowel

as she's sniveling and crocidle tearing, she's on her hands and knees cleaning this puddle up...then when she's done..what does she do?? she leaves the fucking sopping wet towels on the table where we put our keys/my purse..

"don't you think you should throw that away?" I say to her, my patience beginning to get lost.

she shurgs..I tell her, throw it in the gargbage, she then lets out this giant sigh and stomps her spoiled feet to the kitchen garbage..then proceeds to walk out to the garage where SD4 and DH are waiting in the drive way, right as she walks ahead of me, she touches the doorknob and fiddles with it for a second...that's when I realize she locked the garage door that leads into our laundry room. WE have told them on numerous occasions that playing with the lock is off limits and punishable by either me making them stand in a corner or DH smacking the hand they fiddled with. What does she do? she fucking locks the door on her way out and tries to slam it in my face...
holy shit I almost lost it...I tell her, did you lock the door, she just keeps walking..
I get in the car and explain to DH why we were delayed..he asks her what happens..she ignores him..
He has to yell "hey_________ when I say your name, you respond! am I speaking greek here?? why did you do that? "
she just shrugs her shoulders and says "I don't know"
he looks at me and gives me a sympathetic smile and tells her that if she disobeys or gives me the 'stink eye, scarlet O hara business again" that she's punished.

I really like the fact that he does back me up as I do him, but here's the thing..BM has sole custody...we see these kids once a week and every other weekend. they have NO rules where they're at...are SPOILED (and spoiled I mean, oh, you almost set the babysitter's house on fire? who wants' to go to lego land-yeah)

They both have EXTREME anxiety and seperation anxiety as well as being overly emotional and beyond sensitive...he's pleaded with BM to get them in therapy, but "it'll take care of itself" But we both know BM won't do this because then the school will know how much of a clown ass mom she is and she wouldn't want to "look like a bad person"

until next time...le sigh

Your DH can call the school most children have in school access to a counselor, its not much but it is something and well with in his right as a father to do.

hey there! see, that's what I thought, but he wasn't sure as he doesn't have any custody. I told him that the school wouldn't care what your decress says as it's in the best interest of the child.
I think he's afraid of BM finding out he called/went over her heard or whatever and puling some sort of trickery on him...she's all about apperances and is super plastic/fake that she is the type to just sweep everyting under the rug...BUT, I will bring it up to him again, thanks!

So , did I miss where he backed you up, and this child got punished? It seems obvious that her actions are deliberate. And trying to slam a door in your face, and then ignores dad?

I don't see any punishment or consequences here, or where she actually even told dad what she did, even after he asked?

Feeling sorry for you, is not backing you up, and telling her next time, there will ne punishment, is a threat. Not punishment. If SS8 pulled that crap, esp trying to slam my face in the door, I would have stopped right there, and SO would have addresses it immediately, getting out of the car, telling SO exactly what happened, and why. Grrrrrrrrr...
