Two most imporant parenting traits/issues - Cast your vote!

If you had to choose only two parenting traits that were most important, what would they be?

Mine would be manners and respect. I don't want to eat with a pig. I also don't want to go over to other people houses and have SD tracking in dog poop (even though she knows it on her shoes), going into bedrooms, taking things that aren't hers, etc. I also think that she should speak to me when I walk in a room. I am not invisible, I don't have a a cloak of invisibility, no matter how cool I think one would be.

What two things would you choose to feel the most strongly about?

Compassion and respect

Compassion for others teaches empathy n sympathy.

Respects institutes morals n manners

It seems it's foreign to many BM on here. It's not something that the tv or iPhone or Xbox or computers can teach. It's taught the old fashion way by practicing it on a daily basis everywhere you go.

From grandmas house ~ to your own home ~ to your friends house to church n school.

It's just takes an effort ~ actual engaging with the kids.

"Respects institutes morals n manners" - I hadn't thought of it that way, but it makes a lot of sense.

For the parents...consistency and respect! Without a parent being consistent, most everything they do is a waste of time.
