Me: Hello?
BM: Hey... so um...I'm running late and even though I packed SS a really nutritious snack he didnt bring it... umm... could you.. since your working from home.. or your mom..bring him a snack? I mean if not... then...I guess I could try to get one back there but I have to be to work..."
Me: Oh ok...sure.. I mean he needs to have a snack
BM: I would turn around but I need to get to work, Thanks so much... bye

So apparently me working from home is not as important than BM going to work... interesting since BM still has yet to pay a shred of CS (since 2005) and my income supports her son. I wish this didnt irritate me but she puts her responsibiity on me all the time... and its my fault because for the sale of SS i do it.

And i love that my mom could also drop it off... my mom... who she constantly tells SS is not his real family... where is her mom?

Pain in the a$$

"...because for the sale of SS i do it."

I know it isn't what you meant, but I couldn't help but appreciate it. What I'd do, sometimes, for the sale of a stepchild. LOL!

Wow, that conversation on BM's side sounds just like our BM. Sometimes I wanna just scream "get to the freakin point!"

She sounds nervous. My skids' BM will go on and on and on when she's nervous. Blum 3

In this situation to tame my irritation... I do like you do. I have an inner dialogue that starts with "Who is going to benefit the most from this action?"

As long as it's the kids, I do it with a smile. Smile

I swear workig at home is it's own curse. Because I do, I always have the Skids when they are sick. After SD14 last stunt, no more. BM can take the day off. DH can't anymore because of his work schedule. Let BM do it. I swear it irritates me as well. I have considered leasing office space, just because of crap like this.

i have worked from home since i met dh (8yrs last week) ---- and i think i got stuck with a sick skid ONCE.... even though you work from home, it doesn't mean you're not busy and you definitely can't have screaming brats in the background when you're talking to clients...... one time we were all in the car and i had to make a very important phone call and told skids to not open their mouth..... the second my conversation started they started making all kinds of noise - was f'n fuming.... after the call i ripped them both new assholes and told them the trip to the amusement park was officially canceled (we were on our way)...

you should do as dh & i do, if it is bm calling we let her leave a message...... if it warrants a call back, ok -- usually they don't... so if she couldn't reach you to do her business, i guess she would have to turn her lazy ass around and take the snack herself.. sometimes, conference calls and webinars can't be interrupted.
