Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

That is a great site. I stumbled onto it last night for the first time and haven't had a chance to explore it fully, then you suggested it too. Thanks!
Bills
I live in MI and have recieved CS and my DH is still paying for SD16. If the bills were for MD's, dentists, etc. and went unpaid then you will probably get stuck paying 50% of the uninsured amount. My ex did not pay a $40 pediatrician bill from 3 years prior to the divorce and I ended up having to pay it eventually. I am pretty familiar with the MI FOC system so feel free to ask me if you want.
debiamia
Thanks for the offer. My fiance's ex is always trying to force him to pay bills that he didn't incur or is under no obligation to pay and she makes WAY more per year than he does - it's a control thing for her. I may email you privately to discuss.
