Anyone else have these issues when dealing with stress?

When I was younger the thought of giving an oral presentation made my stomach hurt so bad I thought I was going to vomit. That was the only time stress ever manifested itself into a physical sickness. I am in the process of leaving my SO and looking for a new place to live. Everytime the clock gets close to five and I have to go home my stomach hurts so bad that I feel ill. When I left my fiance years ago I had such bad ailments. My hair literally fell out, my stomach hurt, and I didnt want to eat. I lost 20lbs and was really sad. I am sad now but it hasnt really hit me yet it will when I get my own place. Anyone know how to deal with these ailments. I dont want to eat like my normal appetite but around 3 I get hungry. My hair hasnt started falling out thank god but this stomach thing is killing me. Any advice?

I used to get sick to my stomach also when I would get stressed or anxious. I sometimes would throw-up....then I was told by my doctor to eat ginger...I eat both raw ginger ( you can get in sushi restaurants or dried ginger, I buy at flea market or health food store)

It REALLY works for me!

oh, it worked pretty quickly too....

Good luck, I know how horrible it is to feel that way.

Probably not the best advice, but I have these issues really bad and I take xanax. I got some when my husband died. They calmed my stomach to the point of being able to eat and think logically instead of out of fear. Its not a long term solution, but it gets you through the shit part.

I'm going through this now dealing with trying to deal with my current relationship. My clothes are baggy, I've really lost weight. When I have a panic attack I take one. Otherwise, I try not to. Just have to make yourself eat as best you can.

I take benedryl at night when i can't sleep and I am stressed really bad. Meaning, when the skids are here.

if you do not get them vitamins and minerals u need ur hair will fall ur teeth can break so for sure start taking a vitamin daily if u feel that u can not eat properly. i find that the best way to get over one relationship is to have a male companion or friend in the gender u prefer. the theory of a having a rebound actually has scientific evidence to help with a breakup. i might get my head bitten off for saying that but that is my opinion. if u can though because not every one can do that. if not cry when u feel like u need to. listen to sad songs for a while and cry because that is okay to-to a certain point. if u feel suicidal or want to hurt urself or someone else get professional help immediately

I get stomach problems when I am upset or get stressed. Not with public speaking. I love public speaking. Most work situations do not bother me either. It used to but as I have gotten older I have learned not to freak out about things that are beyond my control or that other people find urgent and I don't.

What gets me is when economic influences jeopardize my job security or when office politics get particularly cut throat.

Also when there is significant tension at home between my wife and I or the kid.

Needless to say ...... my stomach has been in a state of upheaval for several days with the kid's departure for basic training. It should settle in the next couple of days.
