How do BM's dump their kids off on us

mamamomo's picture

How can a woman just up and leave her kids? I worry about mine constantly and I don't like for them to be around people that are of poor character. I want to know what my kids are doing every minute of everyday. Yet I am a total stranger to BM and her child lives with me. She has never taken care of him and I wonder the process that she took to get there. After she got home from the hospital, did she show up at her GP's house diaper bag in hand and say here I had another kid for you that I don't want to be bothered with. Did she use the old baby in a basket ring the doorbell and run routine? Did she spend time thinking how can I ditch these kids? Did she know what she was going to do when she was 7mos pregnant? Did she get GP's to babysit and just never pick him up? and how did GP's react? Did they call and say hey BM it's time to be a mom? How did she feel when GPs told her that my DH had picked up SS and he would be living with his new SM. Does she ever consider her worth as a human being? she abandoned her child when he was a baby, does she ever regret it? Does she ever think maybe I can get myself together and try to be a real parent to him. I wonder..........

Oh my, welcome to my world. Our BM does jack in her life. She sits on her butt all day waiting for that disability to magically happen. Her SF lets her live with him, SO is raising their kids, she doesn't work so she always has the 'I have no money' excuse.

I can't even imagine wanting to be that poor. Her motto is 'you don't have to have money'. Well honey, the judge said you did to have custody.

There are plenty of dads who do this as well. I will never understand how a parent can just walk away.

At the end of the day, the kid is most likely better off without him/her.

Our BM abandoned SD when she was about 7. The first time I met BM SD was 10 and we were at the pool of our apartment complex. We had BM's youngest daughter swimming with us. BM walked in, grabbed the kid and left. She never even looked at SD. Didn't notice me and could have cared less that a woman was now living with her daughter. Its so weird to me. How do you do that to your little girl??
To this day she rarely calls her, barely sees her and doesn't seem to care either way.

The BM's don't want their kids to be around people of poor character either.

That's why they dump them off on others.

(ba dum bum)
