Kinda OT - Jumping

MamaBecky's picture

So that's the thing now? Jumping each other? Little posse's of snot nosed brats ganging up on other girls and jumping them? What the hell. I remember being mildly bullied in HS...told by a bf's sister that she was going to jump me and cut my beautiful hair off (jealous! lol) but I knew she was all loud talk and no action...my niece was jumped for no reason last week, my oldest SD has been threatened multiple times...and I see it on the news all of the time. You think...where are the parents...but we all know. There home, drinking, smoking, chilling, and letting there kids do there own thing. There are so few parents left. Only incubators. Ew

This is happening at the school? Has anyone gone to the administration?

I've had 5 teens so far and haven't had any issues with bullying. Sad

It happens in the city...tweens and teen girls...it's affecting all of the schools. All three high schools have this problem. The mall. My niece was just walking home from the convenience store when a group of 6 girls jumped her...laughing, punching her in the face, pulling her hair. They only stopped when they saw she was bleeding profusely from her nose. My niece is 13! They did not know her, it just seemed like a "fun" thing to do at the time. Ugh.

Sick isn't it. I have even seen some on the news where the MOM's were there, encouraging them! There is something wrong with people. I swear!

I work in a pretty ghetto high school and see it all the time. And yes, parents even get involved on the rare occasion. It's sickening Sad

Yep, I work in a pretty large city school district and even though we have a lot of anti-bully programs set up in the middle and high schools, the kids still do it. Some attacks seem to be random, alot are over boyfriend/girlfriend crap and alot are because particular kids are just annoying or deemed to be social outcasts by the bullies. That's really what bullies do is pick on the weaker kids that they know won't fight back.

And you're right, 99.9% of the time, the parents of the bullies were bullies themselves or the parents who don't even deserve the title of parent because they are more worried about pulling one over on welfare and/or unemployment, getting drugs, booze or whatever than caring about the fact that their kids are running all over the city acting like neanderthals.

That's when the police need to be involved. The problem is most of the victims either don't know their attackers or are afraid of them.

I don't advocate child abuse but some days I think these teens should have their butts whooped old fashioned style. The "pick your switch" mentality worked for me.

We don't seem to have this problem at all. THey have a zero tolerance here for almost anything...
