Does anyone else just scratch their head sometimes

and wonder WTF?

My dd's flew interstate to visit their father for a week yesterday.

He has just sent me a random photo of a pair of socks. I think they are dd8's socks - they are ones I bought for her.... just each sock laid out on the bed....

No explanation nothing, just a pic of a pair of socks....

And I sit here and wonder WTF does THAT mean? Is there a hidden message because it's pretty obscure to me..... I don't THINK they were holey????

Oh wow, So I texted him with "????? What?"

As in why send me a pic of dd8's socks?

I got back "I emailed you a pic stupid!"

And THIS ladies and gentlemen is why he is my EX husband.

LOL about the socks for ransom.

We do usually send pics that we think the other may be interested in - of the KIDS lol - but a random pair of socks - not even socks he bought and was showing me what a good daddy he is.

I don't get it. and then to call me stupid. I just sit and wonder sometimes what goes on in other peoples heads.... I am sure it all makes perfect sense to them LOL

In seriousness, sometimes when my exH sends me random weird stuff, I've learned it's usually from my DD11. Sure this wasn't from your DD? Smile

LOL - the girls were arguing over whose socks they were apparently. So I was supposed to settle the argument.

Would have helped if he had MENTIONED that rather than just send a random sock pic but oh well, what goes on in the heads of men I will never fathom.

The "stupid" comment discussion went on a bit longer.... apparently "it was all in jest" and I should relax and not take things so seriously.

Generally the ex and I can manage a reasonably civil businesslike relationship. It's only ever about the kids, and we have our blow ups sometimes. So we are at the point of being able to communicate civilly most of the time but most certainly NOT at the point where you can call someone stupid as a joke.... as I used to say to him when we were married - "no, jokes are funny!" Calling someone stupid isn't funny.

Anyways.

Oh, and the socks? They both have the same pair, and they were different sizes, so I guess they were both right LOL and I mismatched them.... oops
