O/T - I'm Pregnant!

Super early "announcement", but after nearly three years of fertility treatment and two rounds of IVF, I'm fracking thrilled that I can even get pregnant and something FINALLY worked!

First ultrasound is next week. Beta tests look good and my fertility doc seems happy. We have two more embryos on ice, too! I'm trying to just be happy and not let my anxiety take over (and yes, I have a therapist now who I'm going to be leaning on to help with this).

On a SPing front, I mentioned this in a forum post but not here. YSS recently came out as non-binary and has been trying to figure out what transitioning looks like for them. They are in weekly therapy again (with a great therapist that they like), have been doing *mostly* fine in school, has friends (and actually invited one over!), and is engaged in TWO activities. So they'll be YSK from now on.

ET is still a bit of a hot mess. She does have a job, is living on her own, and has a semi-working vehicle again. Honestly, she stays in her lane so I don't think much about her. 

OSS is OSS. Doing fine with school but adulting is a challenge. I've left that to DH to deal with. I don't think the reality of school ending after next school year has hit him yet, or if it has, he hasn't seemingly done much with that information. DH has tried to get him to talk to a counselor since adulting causes him anxiety, but he hasn't done that. 

MIL gave financial control over to BIL. BIL is still living with her. Not sure if she still believes that the scam wasn't a scam. BIL has also been blocking the scammer's numbers from her phone. I'm taking no news as good news.

That's about it! It's kinda nice for things to be quiet(er) for a bit.

CONGRATULATIONS! I hope you have a healthy and relatively uneventful pregnancy! It will fly by faster than you can imagine so embrace every moment of the experience!

How wonderful for you and your DH. What a blessing. I have not seen you posting too much, so figured that life was either hectic or quiet, and what a great update post Biggrin

HAH. NOW you get to give your always wonderful advice about BLENDING. LOL> look forward to more happy news.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! 

I'm glad things are going as smoothly as possible for YSK for now, and hope they stay that way. At least OSS is doing well in school. Some just mature faster than others, hopefully DH can get his butt in gear and prepared to launch!

I am so thrilled by your news that I'm laughing and clapping like an old fool. Thank heavens that good things occasionally happen to good people! (We'll all be nagging you for updates.)

And please kiddo, let go of the stresses encompassed with the needs/demands of your stepsons; this is your child and your time. Dang, I've been having a down day and this news has brightened my spirits TO THE MAX!

Thank you everyone! I'm trying to just be excited. Hasn't really hit yet that it actually happened. I don't think it will click until after the first trimester when I'll feel a bit "safer". For right now, I'm just telling myself I'm pregnant today, and if I'm not tomorrow, I'll handle it then.

But damn, do I miss sushi already. I'm already looking up safe sushi and rationing my fish/seafood to eat that this weekend, HA!

Congrats! Yes, the anxiety is real, esp in the early days. Make sure that DH is limiting your exposure to skid / bm drama. I got used to eating vegetarian sushi, but it was not the same.

Best of luck to your YSK, being non-binary is still not easy in this world and kids are mean. Having a chaotic parent likely doesn't help.

Take care of the both of you.   And for sure do not tolerate work stress beyond what is reasonable.
