What a jerk!

I am so sick of it, When the skids come over all they do is hang out and play video games and make a mess and I am the one who is expected to clean it up. My husband thinks the skids are victims because of all the PA they have to endure. I told my husband we don't make enough money to be disney parents for the skids. I told my husband I wish I could have it as easy as they do, they don't lift a finger by the way neither does my husband! I told him when he gets home he leaves a trail where ever he goes and I am tired of cleaning up after all the kids and skids! I took one day off last week of cleaning and went christmas shopping and I was bitched at because the next day I couldn't keep up with all the cleaning. I clean every sinlge day and I don't normaly have a problem with it because I am a stay at home mom, however I have little ones who make a big mess that I am teaching how to put things away and when the skids come over and make a mess I just get so mad because I am the bad guy who has to tell them to put the stuff away. I am so sick of my husband playing the victim because I bitch about him and his kids all the time. I really do and I am starting to hate my husband! He doesn't communicate, he just gets siilent and says maybe we should get divorced. THis time I said okay! I feel like a single parent because my husband acts like a helpless child. How do I tell him to get his head out of his a$$?

Oh, I would clean up then! If he expects you to clean then I'd have the cleanest damn house there is. In fact it would be so clean that there would be no video game systems sitting around, no kids toys, items, cds, or other miscellaneous crap. I'd stick every damn bit of it in a trash bag and throw it out in the damn garage. If they got it out I'd just get another bag and walk around behind them throwing all their shit in there. I wouldnt waste another breath telling them anything over and over again-I would tell them exactly once-you've got 10 minutes to get that shit out of here or I'm coming with the trash bag. Wait your 10 minutes and then have at it.

Agreed! It's my home rule. I developed the Trash Bag method in our home after years of playing maid and realizing that despite being hugly pregnant and sick nobody gave a crap about me. So, if it's not in it's place when SS's leave the room either it goes in the trash or the dog gets to chew on it a while before I pitch it. DH moaned once about it...just once! Now, that's just how it is and he's accepted it. He warns them and if it's something special he doesn't wanted tossed he picks it up. If he doesn't then he just rolls his eyes now when he asks about it and I tell him to check the garbage. Their room is much neater without all those extra un-needed toys too. Smile
