So BM told us a couple of months ago that her mom (SD's grandma) has 4 months left to live. Then she tells us this weekend that SD's stepfather is going to tell her her grandma is dying. I may be way off here, but why the heck would you tell a 6 year old something like that?? It's her prerogative of course, and there's nothing we can do about it...but we are so stunned and feel it is totally unnecessary to put that on a young child. Just let her enjoy the remainder of her time, because now all her last memories will be sad ones. And the worst part is, she chose to tell her right before she gets dropped off at our place for the rest of the week. That is just like her, drop her bomb and let us pick up the pieces. I could go through many insane stories that would paint a better picture of how nuts and cruel this woman is, but I'm sure many other SM's deal with the same bull and already know.
