i just want to live life for me for a change. i'm going to the lake with a friend this weekend and really want to fall off the grid but can't. my gpa has cancer and is dying, my mom is going in today for testing on a tumor to see if it's cancerous. i told my aunt i'm falling off the grid, she disputed, said "mom and gpa need us both right now, we are all they have" which pisses me off (not for me but because my mom has 2 other siblings that can freaking step up to the plate but wont-thy do when gpa offers rewards like pizza for lunch or funds to pay for services) I KNOW if my mom gets sick, my brother wont move here to help me with her because his wife wont come with and they are pregnant so *I* will be expected to drop everything (i'll have to) to ensure my mom is taken care of.

i'm so close to college graduation it's ridiculous (just a few years) and if my mom gets sick i really don't know what i'm gonna do unless *I* get help and school full time-idk. my dd is only 9, i work full time, so ensuring my mom has the care she'll need-i have no clue how i'm gonna do that.

You will take everything one day at a time. That is all that you will be able to do, period. Try and have some faith that God doesn't give you more than you can handle. You have to keep telling yourself that you are a strong woman and will only get stronger.

I suggest going and turning off your cell. Tell your mom that you are doing this and will check voice mail every night but don't really expect a call before 7 pm (or whatever). Return the calls you need then turn the thing off again. You need this time, you have the chance, take it.

I just might do that but dunno if i can without a "guilty conscience" course i know if things get BAD my mom has a friend that isn't as busy as i am that was there helping with my gma (whom just died in march) and her siblings ARE always there when hospital is involved.

You will be available every evening. They can send the freaking police to your address if there is an emergency. Turn off the phone and take some "you time". Sounds like you really are going to need it!
