Is it normal for a 19 yr old to sit on her dads lap?? My SD always calls herself "dadys girl" and even posts it on her fb! She is pregnant and is not with he father so she lives with ex DH..and expects him to pay the bills. She says jump and he says how high? Our relationship didn't work because he was always worried about pleasing her....there is a love for your child but I think theirs is odd...I did read about emotional incest and sounds right, but whTs her problem? Is she actually in love with her dad?

No, it is not normal for a 19 year old girl to sit in her fathers lap. But your SD is only half the problem here. Your DH is the other half. He needs to speak up and tell his little princess that she is too old to be sitting on his lap. He needs to learn how to say no and put up boundries with her. It's not just whats her problem...its also whats HIS problem. Why is it so hard for him to stand up to his daughter? Why does he allow his daughter to sit on his lap when she is clearly to old for it? Why is so worried about pleasing her?

My hubby(rip) just graduated and had a good career going,that may be the difference.It will be so funny to see her on his lap asking for diaper money instead of spending cash!!!!!Your hubby deserves everything he gets ~spare the rod...~ at his rate she will be on baby#4 in no time!

Thank you everyone! I didn't think so..He said tonite he was working on her behavior and she is getting better. Really? Me and him went to Burger King the other nite and did'nt get her anything because it was just us. Well in true SD fashion, shs rudely woke hed dad up by yelling at him and whining about not getting anything from BK! she even went as far as to call my daughter and ask who all.got food from bK. Thats changing?? She is very disrespectful to him..yelling at him..cussing, and then turns around and wants to act al sweeet and feed him lines of bullsh!**...she manipulates him and he falls for it...I ask him why but he can nver give an answer why he puts up with it!!!!
