I wanted to invite her to go to the beach with me and my sister but all I got was her voice mail. Was it okay that I left a message?? I'm really trying but I don't know what else to do.

you are trying and making the effort. That is all you can do. If SD doesn't call back or doesn't want to go. You did try dixiebell that is really all you can do, You opened the door, it is her choiccce to close it or walk through and go with you! Smile Good luck

I know it upsets hubby when she refuses to come over and I hate that. He has pretty much disowned his son because he got mixed up with a bad crowd. He (the son) has been in a lot of trouble for drugs and alcohol. I really want to make things right with his daughter though she means so much to him. His exwife remarried before he did so I don't think that is an issue.

You are one of the lucky one then.... Most of us have hell from the BM's and the Skids!!
All you can do tho is make the effort, open the lines of communication and pray for the best!! Been trying myself Hope she calls back and wants to go Wink

It's up to her now. I would invite her if you want, not expect much in return and if she wants to go great. But don't spend a lot of your time worrying about this. Life is too short.
