I live about 30 miles away...tickets are expensive at $155 each. Husband may be able to get me a backstage artist pass for this Sunday, so please everyone cross your fingers and toes!!!

There are 3 Marleys headlining. Not enough female artists here this time - typically Hirie and Anuhea are here, this time missing. Boo.

I have enjoyed reggae music since I was a teen.  Not an immersed fan, an appreciative fan.  Bob Marley being the prime artist with name recognition, my degree of separation was my time working for DuPont in the Delaware valley where Marley was a Lab Tech before he landed such notable fame.  His DuPont tenure was at about the time I was born so the connection is sparated notably in time as I worked there when I was in my 40s for about the same amount of time Marley worked there.

We had a serendipitous reggae experience when we lived in Morocco.  Friends insisted that we attend the Gnaoua Music Festival  with them in Essaouira.  Gnaoua is a N. African music tradition and a precurser to reggae music. There are a number of reggae artists who perform at the Essaouira fesival.

Essaouira is a beautiful coastal town on the Atlantic coast in S-Central Morocco.  It was a Portuguese stronghold during their colonial years and there is an incredible well preserved walled Portuguese city at the heart of Essaouira.

I recommend Morocco as a vacation destination and scheduling a trip during the festival.
