Skids are worse then telemarketers! I swear, as soon as we're about to eat a holiday dinner one of the skids has to call! It's every single holiday this happens! By now you'd think they'd learn that we always eat in the mid-afternoon and not call then. They have no respect for me, my kids or their father.

I've never allowed my kids to have their cell phones at the table but it's a hard rule to enforce when they see their stepdad interrupt our family time with calls from the stepkids. I've asked DH not to take calls and he generally won't- except if his kids call; then DH has to drop what he's doing to talk to his kids.

After we had to delay eating for 20 minutes while DH spoke to his son, then his daughter sends him a video of her dog that he has to show everyone at the table. She knew we were eating- why the f- does she have to send him a video of her freakin' dog!

I'm so sick and tired of it. They do it on purpose to intrude on everything. Only DH won't say anything because at least they are communicating with him.
