Its supposed to however yuck was able to change stuff on our ins and messes it up. So i dont blame the op for being concerned. In my case since yuck still has dhs last name she was able to have me removed and her put on the ins. She lied and said she was dhs wife not me.

Skids are on my insurance - she has the medical card but is not legally allowed by law to even find out what benefits they have. I had to sign for her to have access to their information. Contact the insurance company directly and make sure they know she is not part of the policy.

Oh sh*t! Worried about it happening to you too?! Now I'm guessing that the insurance company probably took NO responsibility for allowing BM to hack into your info, and then made you wait for open enrollment to get back onto your own f*cking policy, huh?

We have struggled with this FOR SIXTEEN YEARS. BM will also take SD to a provider (usually dentist, as she "doesn't believe" in doctors), give them OLD insurance information (like the b*tch doesn't have the new card, wtf), and put DH down as the financially responsible party, with the bills going to BM's house. Then, low and behold, we find out that we can't get credit, because of "collections activity". What's that you say? Unpaid bills to Dr. Whatshisname? We've never even been to that doctor! But BM has, and it has f*cked us time and again. And the courts will do NOTHING, even though it's FRAUD.

Last year I called to get a summary of all paid benefits for tax purposes. To my amazement, the insurance company had four children enrolled on our policy. Well, I have two DD's, and DH has SD, so that would equal three kids. Somehow BM was able to get one of her other OOW spawn added to DH's policy. This kid is eight months older than DD12, so how in the f*ck was I able to have two children within eight months of each other?

After that fun little adventure, we had our information password protected with the insurance company. BM was STILL able to get in, posing as me, and have a benefit summary of ALL medical, prescription, and dental benefits paid to HER home address. Thank goodness I had to call for a prescription authorization shortly thereafter, because she had changed OUR home address to hers, and we wouldn't have known for months. HIPPA is a joke as far as we're concerned...sure didn't protect any of our info from BM.

This is just the tip of the iceberg as far as things she's done to violate our privacy. Most recently, when SD moved back to her apartment, BM put in a "change of address" form with the post office. SD has the same last name as DH, me, and our DD's. Instead of filling out the form with just SD's name, BM put in a change for our ENTIRE household. We didn't get ANY of our mail (except junk mailers) for almost three weeks. Of course she denied it, until our PO pulled the original form with her signature. Then she said she didn't know it would affect our mail....riiiiight. Mail fraud? I sure think so...but again, the police and courts would do NOTHING about it. Who knows what kind of personal sh*t she was able to get her nasty hands on. SD wasn't even getting any mail at our home. Maybe two or three mailers from colleges, but nothing of major importance.

Man I wish there were some way to safeguard the NCP's against devious crap like this. By making sure his daughter has health insurance, the privacy and safety of our entire family has been compromised for years, and it seems that we just have to deal with it. What a bunch of garbage.

SOunds like you all have some lawsuits available to earn you some extra cash from the insurance company......
