My husband got off work early yesterday because he has to stay late on Friday. When he told me yesterday I said, "Awesome, you can get the babies from day care for me!" He did it, but only with a huge attitude..I mean, I wake up at 5 every day to get the babies ready and to day care, then I work, then I pick them up and he gets home 3 hours later...I figured it would be ok to ask him ONE TIME.

You know what he said? "I don't mind getting your children.." THESE ARE OUR BIOS!!! Not to mention that on Friday I will be alone with our 2 bios and HIS CHILD while he works late. HMMMMMMMMM. Thanks!

We got into a huge fight because I refused to attend SD's wedding.

He is trying to force me so he brings out the big guns and sprays rather indiscriminately like a gang banger on a driveby.

One thing he did was scream at the top of his lungs, "She's my only daughter!" which I'm certain that OUR BIO who was playing outside heard.

She hasn't been the same since, but I won't bring it up until she wants to talk about it.

Made me want to get a paternity test and bitch slap him for a week with the results.

Still deciding whether or not I can really stay here anymore.

SO TYPICAL!

DH leaves about an hour earlier than I do in the mornings and gets off 1-2 hours before I do. Yes he has a further drive, but I get up and get myself and BS2 ready and drop him off before I head to work.

I took off a week a month ago just to use some time off. I had to get up early every single day (BS is a early riser since we get up at 6am every morning) and get him ready and took him to his daycare/school, and then pick up in the afternoon. DH takes off 1 day and he gets to sleep in till 11am and do nothing for the rest of the day??

Just like how men think they are 'babysitting' when they are watching the kids, (gag!) men!

Last Sunday morning our BS2 woke up at 4 am crying. It was nearly impossible to get him to go back to sleep. By 7 I just got up because both our kids are always up by 8. BS2 started crying again, so DH got up and yelled at him, then DH went back to sleep and slept until 11. He was mad because he didn't get to sleep through the night. Uh, what about me? I was up too, and then I had to take care of both boys while he got to sleep in. I haven't slept in since I was pregnant with our first child. Pisses me of ROYALLY.

Yeah, I hate it that it's just expected for us to take care of our children, but the men act totally put out if they have to do ANYTHING.

These are the reasons we are all posting here. Women take care of kids, I don't care how 'cool and modern' these men think they are..they leave it to the women. When they divorce and remarry they just expect the SM to do it all like their wives do.

I should have said 'most'. There are some good single Dads out there. I honestly have never met any man that could do it on their own w/o dumping their responsibilities on the woman in the house... but I do know there are some. I'm including my own BS in this too.

I will say my dh gets kudos here. He is disabled so does not work. He COULD lie in bed in the morning-but he will acutally get up at 6am each day and get the kids up so I can sleep an extra 15-30 minutes. This morning I let him sleep in and got the kids up myself. But yes, I agree most men are lazy when it comes to the kids no matter what the situation.
