Quick Update

I hope I don't jinx myself with this post but it's been pretty peaceful these past few months. No sign of Little Idiot (SD25) planning on coming up this summer so I am hoping/praying I won't have to see her until Christmas.

She's still living the bartender life down in FL, working hard on trying to trap The Fool into a marriage I'm sure. She was pushing hard to drag him up here to introduce him to the family but he probably didn't want to come (thank God - Goofy, her last boyfriend, aka The Cocaine Cowboy was always up for a trip here to invade my home).

She's still living with that weird couple but apparently looking to rent a house with The Fool and this other guy who she's apparently friends with.

On a good note, she been working to slowly pay down her sizable debt which will probably take a few more years I am thinking. I guess she finally got sick of being broke.

I hope she marries The Fool if for no other reason than he has a large family down there and seems to have zero interest in coming up here. His parents also have some money so hopefully between his future IT career and his parents we won't have to worry about providing for the family I'm sure she's going to have as soon as she locks him down.

It seems like yesterday that the 'bane of your existence' was a teen, accusing innocent young men of date rape. Those halcyon days, 'eh?

You deserve a little luck, Hon; you've put in your time and then some. How grand it would be if L'lle Idiot would marry and become someone else's problem?! Hope springs eternal.

My SIL was one of those who begged and pouted for money so her kids were not hungry. Not likely considering that they looked like very plump Christmas turkeys by the time they were 6mos old and have been decidedly fluffy since then. Though her eldest has slimmed down notably through HS.

So glad you have washed your hands of Little Idiot and she isn't trying to come over although I'm sure there will he a discussion for the holidays but that is a long way away! Enjoy your idiot-free summer!!
