Changing custody

Soooooo it's looking like we will be having SD12 move in with us, but not SD11. Anybody have a similar situation? Does Child Support get modified? BMM and DH are terrible communicators and aren't very diligent about following court orders. I really want to Have SD12 here I would be thrilled but I also want to make sure we can provide for her.

Where I am...it would not necessarily be a wash if each parent had one child. The courts would still factor in the income levels.
If one is earning less than the other...the one earning more would still be made to pay some CS, just not as much as before.
It's sort of an income-leveling thing.
If you are making arrangements outside of the courts...it's whatever you both agree too, of course.

Get the custody order signed first. Then worry about child support. It will go down & should be a wash but it depends on what state you are in & how it is calculated.

FDH has skid2 full time and BM has skid1 full time. even when FDH had both skids full time he never went after child support. if he had, he'd be screwed now because where we live, CS is calculated by parental income and since he makes so much more than BM he'd be obligated to pay her 500-600 a month even though he has one kid full time, and he pays for 100% of everything for them (except food, for which she gets food stamps fraudulently anyway).
