My SD ( almost 13 ) has lived with her dad & I ( SM ) since age 9 when her BM lost custody of her ...she has not seen her BM in 4 years since she lives 1,000 miles away...SD hates her BM & see's me as mom...However even though her BM was very neglectful & abusive...she also gave my SD anything she wanted, babied her, never punished her, taught her how to steal, lie.....lately SD is like 2 people one side says she wants a mom whose involved, strict, there 24/7....BUT then she gets angry & blows up because she can't eat junk food 24/7, stay up late, wear anything, have a a ce

There is a long history of disrespect regarding my stepdaughter. She is 30 yrs old, married and has children. I have blogged about her skipping my mother's funeral because "she was ignored" on the night my mother died, starting a fight with me while my DH(her Dad)was in the hospital after cancer surgery, telling MIL lies to start drama, and just a general disrespect of her father in general. She has a bad attitude towards her mother but Momma takes it because she is afraid she won't see the grandkids if she opens her mouth.

So since BM asked SO for some money for a BDay party SHE planned for SD, this has been a touch subject for SO and I considering he has not freakin balls when it comes to "The Golden Uterus" aka BM. So, I typed up this letter in "hopes" perhaps he could retrieve his balls that the BM took and kinda set her straight in a not so mean and negative way. Anyway...I have not heard back from SO about the letter. I did NOT send the letter, I am hoping he will or at least stick up for himself.

There's been some pretty crappy weather here past few days and we've been "lucky enough" to have 3 whole snow days from school. It hasn't been bad at all even concidering SS14 is MOST CERTAINLY under punishment for his latest stunts.Which is EXACTLTY why the absent minded piss poor xcuse 4 a mom or woman,BM,decided to 1st of all call the police to our house for a "wellness" check on her BS14 due to his actions being brought to light.Nothing became of it and the police would not take OUR report,for harrassment or her making a false report,blah blah....

There isnt a day that passes that I dont think about the situation with my husband and his children. I have lots of thoughts that consume me in what I believe needs to be said to them. I want to contact them but believe it could make things worse. So for now I will keep this blog.

It is not a new situation. My husband and I have known each other for 17 years. And there is a history that isn't all good.

I'm a SM and have been in the child's life since the day he was born. Our custody is 50/50 and of course the BM can't stand to be in a room with me. My DH and I attend every appointment due to the BM failing to communicate with us however recently she's made a point to say she doesn't want me there. Her reasoning is she believes it's the only time that the child gets to spend with his BM and my DH. I don't understand as the child has never known any different than her by herself and my husband and I together. Am I way off here?

What do you do when your parenting styles are worlds apart...I am very hands on, I am involved 24/7, I love spending alot of quality time with my kids, I always wanted to be a mom.....on the flip side my DH never planned on having kids, is very uninvolved, not hands on & likes it best when kids are out of his hair...As for discipline I am new school I hate spanking ..he's old school he thinks other discipline does not work...I think parents in blended famlies should ONLY discipline their BC..How do other SP feel...?

I just watched one where this couple was divorced and he got the house. He refinanced and got a 401k loan of 5k to pay a down payment. Some how they got the address wrong after arguing with them several time they sent the check to his ex wife she cashed it. She said she was owed that money just b/c he didn't take her name off of it. Um what? really? He said he was trying to and they wouldn't listen hence the arguing with them.

She is partying all the time and she lives with a 20 year old says they aren't doing anything but live in a 5th wheel?? Anyone watching this??? It sounds so much like some of the stories here. As she doesn't see her kids as much.
