I love to dance. A few years ago I was hittin the gym on a regular basis. Running, weights, classes, etc.....
One of the classes that I started to take was Zumba. I did not get the chance to take it long enough to tell what the benefits of it was. (aside from cardio)
Fast forward to NOW....I cannot afford the gym. I am NOT a disciplined person to work out on a regular basis at home. But....I like to dance and want to do Zumba.
Any of you done it, or do it? Besides cardio, does it have any toning benefits?

It's aerobic,. Yes, you will
It's aerobic,. Yes, you will tone a little as you would doing step aerobics, floor etc, but not like p90x or any other weight activity. It will burn fat.
The thing is...weights are what really tone.
Aerobic activity is the only thing that burns fat.
There are classes in my area around $5 a class.

My quasiSD (the one who called my ExH out of the blue and said she is his daughter, he refused to take a paternity test, so I made her a friend since I would have been her SM back in the 90s and could be BS20's HS)uses those workouts YouTube and does them in her living room. She has lost a lot of weight lately combining that with weights and diet.
If you love to dance, it sounds like fun

I have done Zumba a few times and LOVED it. I'm trying to fit it into my schedule regularly, but you know how that goes....I too LOVE to dance and I think that was what I enjoyed most, the music was really fun and I felt like I was dancing more than working out. Here, where I live, there are several places that offer the class pretty cheap. I've seen it as low as $6.00 per class and you can pay as you go or buy a block at a discounted rate. There are several types of classes, some are just the basic dance and there is a Zumba tone, or something like that, which I assume is the dance combined with toning exercizes.

I hate Zumba LOL....because I simply can't do it. Frustrated me to no end. My mom loves it though. I think most people do love it.
I taught step, slide and regular ol' floor aerobics for a while...but Zumba and my body do not go together.
