For years, raising SS with my wife, I always felt guilty about the difference between I felt between him and our daughter. Once everything started going off the rails in his mid teens, I found this site and was so glad to see that I had normal feelings and it wasn't just me. Been a good site with some good advice and comments over the years. It makes dealing with non-working SS21 a little more bearable as there is always someone who is sharing your grief and who has been through it before.

Yes you are not alone and this site definitely validates that. Welcome and feel free to vent and share your true feelings that bring you shame and guilt. this is a place where you can release that. I wish I could tell you this is a judgment free zone but it isn't. You will find a lot of folks on here will relate to you and encourage you but you will also find people on here who will try and make you feel crappier than you already feel. Just ignore them LOL.
