So I come home from a busy day of school and driving home in the 110 degree weather and what do I find?? My laoptop in my SD's bedroom. My laptop is off limits. There is a computer in the living room but she doesn't like to use that one because it's slow. DUH! It's slow because you download all kinds of crap on it and don't take care of anything! But besides the fact that she knows that she is not aloud to use my computer she is grounded!! This is how the conversation went

ME "Did you ask to use my computer?"
SD "I was just-"
Me "Did you ask?"
SD "I was just looking something up for my homework."
Me "But did you ask?"
SD "No. But I just needed to look something up."
Me "Really? Because there is a music video playing."
SD "I was just looking at that while I ate, but before I was researching."
Me "So if I go and look at my internet history I am going to be able to see what you were researching?"
SD "Probably not."
ME "So you just sit there and lie to my face. Use the computer when you are grounded and eat around my computer when you know you are not ever aloud to do that."

I am soooo irrtated. She has been nothing but a little shit lately. And all she does anymore is lie. And it's always about stupid things. Who knows what else she is lying about.

I'm not so sure about the lock thing. But the door is almost ready to come off for sure. Smile

My SD spilt rootbeer all over mine 2 weeks after I just spent $1000 on it. I worked hard and saved a long time for it and that pissed me off. If my SD was 5 I think I would just be annoyed but she is 12. She knows the rules.

Not having dad back you is awful; mine does like 10% of the time - it sucks.

I love the door idea; my SD13 would literally shit a brick!!!! We should have done that when we caught her crewling out her window...
The password this is the best

We have one "family" computer. My DH and my account is password protected. The kids have their own account that has limitations put on it as to what they can download and what sites they can visit on the internet.

It is WONDERFUL and my computer stays nice and zippy.
