BM Must have a learning disability.

DH texted today saying we needed to get our taxes done ASAP. I asked him why and he said because BM just called and asked him who was claiming SD this year.

He told her since SD lives here he is claiming her. She said OK but I wouldn't doubt for a minute she will try to file first.

I told him to tell her as soon as she starts paying a decent amount to support her kid we will talk about rotating.

Also, DH spoke to his new FOC caseworker today and said it sounds like the guy is fresh out of high school and doesn't know anything. Oh joy.

O/T Confusing House Listing

Learning to Stepparent's picture

I have googled this and asked people and I am still confused. I was looking at a house listing online and the listing says it is a 2 story manufactured home. What does that mean? I mean I hear manufactured home I think trailer but this is 2 stories which makes me think it isn't a trailer but the roofline looks kind of trailer like but it is 2 story. Unfortunately there is only one picture of the interior so I can't tell anything at all about the interior or layout or anything.

!@#$#@@#$$@@! Why is incompetence rampant?

So SD is in weekly speech and occupational therapy for her issues. This means we get a lot of bills from the hospital. Like a lot. The first steps of the evaluation took place January 23, 2015. Months went by, several months, and we hadn't gotten any bills. Finally in August I asked the receptionist about it and she said "Oh, sometimes they run a month or two behind." I told her we still hadn't gotten bills from January.

NCIS Episode about Stephell

Learning to Stepparent's picture

DH likes to watch NCIS....several iterations, I don't pay that close attention. Anyway, he was watching a recent episode the other day and while I only caught the last couple of minutes it seems that an adult SD planned and executed the murder of her SM because she was jealous the SM took her BD away. Of course it's highly unlikely but does anyone else ever see things like that and think "that could be me someday?"

Wow, our Social Worker is Awful

Learning to Stepparent's picture

So after SD5 came back from BM's house with a black eye Memorial Day weekend and CPS got involved they did their initial investigation and said she was good to go out of state with BM for 3 weeks which I found odd but whatever. After SD got back a social worker went right out to daycare to talk to her about the trip.

Why do we even bother?

So CPS apparently talked to BM and said they didn't feel like SD was in any immediate danger and cleared her to go out of state with BM for 3 weeks. BM's story was that SD was having one of her fits and trying to unbuckle her seat belt and BM let her temper get the best of her.
