Wow, it's been a long time since I last posted a blog. Can't believe I've been a member for over 9 years... Thinking back to what brought me here and then to today, I'm amazed at how much has happened and yet remains the same... Present day, I have SD22, DD20, and SD17, married going on 15 yrs. I'm soooo grateful we had to move 3 hrs away for work and there is distance now between us and BM. SD17 has her driver's license and has made the trip down so literally no need to see BM anymore.

I'm back!!!

So it's been an age since I posted anything. I've learned after 12 years of being a SM that the best way to function is finding my own level of disengagement when dealing with SDs 20 & 15.

So worried......

I have been on this site for YEARS due to all the drama BM has put me thru. I have been robbed by BM. I have been almost run over in a parking lot by BM. I had to buy a house in a gated community b/c BM would not stop showing up at all hours. The list goes on and on. BM has made our lives a living nightmare. She causes so many issues from financial pains to emotional roller coasters. I have endured the drama. I have read and sought refuge from those dealing with similar issues. It gave me strength, perspective, and focus.

So much has gone on in the past few months that I'm hoping just getting it out will be therapeutic.

SDstb18 moved in with us fulltime for her senior year of high school. BM reacted horribly when SD told her she wants to live with DH and just got vicious. She canceled her car insurance, phone and took back the car SD had been paying for and sold it (car in BM name since she's under 18). This was all in 1 day so we had to immediately get a new phone, car and insurance in place in less than 48hrs. Stressful but we made it work and SD was extremely grateful.

To begin, I had to delete prior posts that were personal to my history. 

Backstory: DH and I have been married going on a decade now. Since the day DH left BM, she has told the SKs “Dad left the family”, Your dad abandoned you”, “Your dad has a new family now”, and crap like that. Total PAS since the youngest was 18mo.

We have a cookie exchange on Friday and was looking for quick and easy recipes and came across the perfect recipe for Tall Boy and Rutherford & Mr. Rutherford's ST Nutella supply...

Nutella Sandwich Cookies

Ingredients:
13-ounce jar Nutella
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened (not melted)
1 extra large or large egg
1 1/4 cups self-rising cake flour*

*If you can’t find self-rising cake flour, just use regular self-rising flour.

After reading Tuff Noogies and Fire_Inside blog’s yesterday, they got me thinking about my relationship with DH and how we love each other but sometimes we get stuck in the monotony of everyday life.

So since I had to stop at the grocery yesterday, I bought him a little card and a 6 pack of Blue Moon and left him a sticky note saying “I love you to the moon and back”.
