Hi all...I'm new here to this site, but not new at being a stepmom trying to cope with my DH's baggage. We have been married for 12 years and things were rough a few times, so rough that I wasn't sure if we woiuld make it, actually didn't know how much moree I could stand. But this was my only marriage, so I though I would hand on as tight as I could in hopes of better days. I gotta tell you all that things are better, but not without some issues. The biggest being that my DH has so much guilt over the divorce from his firt wife, which was her idea not his, and that his youngest son, now 26 still tries to manipulate his Dad occasionally. Over the years I have become more vocal, surprisingly due to the prodding of the other 2 stepkids. They know how their baby brother is and they don't like it. I have a pretty good relationship with them. As far as the youngest one, well, that is a work in progress. My DH is finally opening his eyes to all this and alot of the bs has stopped with his help.
Anyway, I hope to be able to give and get support here, as we all need it now and then.Glad to be here ladies. Sandyval
