Coooooookies, I am so glad for you. Sorry that your life is such that a week without teenage poopy-pants is a big deal. Because it really shouldn't be so special.

Sigh. Enjoy your bliss!! You more than deserve it!

It probably wouldn't be Moe but his "mother" lives in a different country. So we don't have the luxury of every weekend or even every other weekend break when he visits the other parent. This will be the only break until next year during his school's Spring Break.

BM2 does still rumble that she's moving back here (England) some time in December but I'll believe it when I see it. Even then, I don't count on her taking him for a visit very often.

yeay - lets pop a cork or 6.....

how did you manage that cooookies - did you take away your spare bedroom , tablet and all electronics }:)

Haha no, he's visiting his BM2 in Cyprus so she can't even send him back early to go wh*ring as she has plane tickets and dates to go by.

Well he has been clean for a week but that's only because I engaged for just this cause only. I'm absolutely fed up with smelling poo and dealing with poop filled clothing so I grounded him. Absolutely no electronics for at least a week and if he still wasn't staying clean then a week more and so on.

Wouldn't you know that by Day 3 he was clean and stayed clean. Imagine that. So I told him when he comes back if we hear that he's been pooping himself it's back to no screens. When he does get clean, he will only get a very limited time.

I know that's way too much involvement but I am too disgusted with the whole situation and not waiting for DH to get a clue because that wasn't happening.

I did say to him though: "Huh, imagine that...not letting him rot on screens for 12 hours a day DOES work. Amazing!" DH said nothing. }:)

Notice the absolute silence from the BFFing BM Brigade (TM) when consequences WORK!

They'd rather believe that Junior isn't the clever, albeit lazy, manipulator.

"Is there a MEDICAL issue?" ( as opposed to a behavioural issue)

"Is the poooooorr child depressed?" (well known fact that you can INDUCE childhood depression by spoiling a child)

"Does snookums have O.D.D?" (formerly known as tantrums in which a permanent cure of discipline was applied)

"Maybe C.O.D. just needs more slobbering over by daddykins." (seriously?)

The BFFing BM assumes that all children, ESPECIALLY their own, are brain-dead pets, incapable of grasping the concept of for each action, there is an equal, yet opposite REaction.

Yet the BFFing BM ironically assumes that her child is capable of hearing adult matters as her "confidant" purely for the purpose of enmeshment.

Oh this has nothing to do with BM2. This is all my DH. He is a pitying, coddling Disney Dad of the highest order. He'd rather put blinders on and stick his head up his arse than to actually make precious wittle snoogie wookums be held accountable or tell the little fragile porcelain snowflake what to do...ya know, like PARENTS should.

This is all DH. It boggles my mind.

Breathing...and drinking...and celebrating...and breathing.

Thank you, ladies, thank you. I shall enjoy my skid free (in more ways than one) time. Cheers!! Dirol
