Courting an adult daughter
Somebody said this yesterday. My DH's new found romance with his estranged daughters. Especially one. The one that he was enmeshed with when I came on the scene years ago. Poor boundaries and she was a mini wife. Hated me!
Yesterday we were out for breakfast and as he was reading her text a look came over him, honestly like how he had looked at me when we first fell in love. My radar went up and discomfort has set in. I do recall driving past our downtown and seeing him talking to her about 4 years ago, and the look he had for her was unmistakable. The same puppy dog love sick eyes. It creeped me out then too.
Am I jealous? No......my ex husband is very close with our daughter and he has never looked at her that way. Never.
DH has a huge project to get out this morning and sure enough called her at 630 am......scary because it is 530 where she lives.

I would call him out on his behavior-there's no reason for a parent to be calling their adult child so often

I am not without my own
I am not without my own issues. I recognize that. However, she and her sister removed themselves from his life since we were married 5 years ago. They live on the other side of the states. However, and unfortunately......it looks likes the mini wife daughter will be attending grad school at most 3 hours away. Life will change for sure, but honestly it has gotten to the point where I would prefer for him to spend time with her instead of me.
I have my own reasons for staying married to him now.
Certainly not money since I make double of what he makes.

She was 16 or 17. It would have been kind if they had just ditched their father. They took him to court constantly for all kinds of crazy demands.....cell phones, cars, consigning college loans even though he was paying their tuition. The worst was a huge court motion delivered on our wedding day. I kid you not.
Mini wife syndrome is sick
Mini wife syndrome is sick when the spawn are young. It is truly disgusting when daddy keeps it up when the daughters are adults. This crap is completely indicative of abject parental failure on the parent side and disgusting lack of character on the adult kid side. Which is even worse.
