Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team
Well I tend to be a bit
Well I tend to be a bit possessive and jealous myself so I would probably have a melt down and make myself look stupid. On a positive thought, perhaps because it is a nice picture your spouse just wants to keep it for skids to have?
I would not let him express
I would not let him express he wants to keep it - my hubby knows better than to ever say anything like that in front of me - and he knows even better not to try to keep it - because it would start the next fire we would build in the fireplace - right after I had my DD I found a whole box of pictures of ex's and I burned them all - no reason to keep them in my book!
I would ask ...Oh, is that
I would ask ...Oh, is that for *stepkids*?
And if it was my DH it probably would be. Sometimes those pictures get lost and we come accross another copy and it is like finding gold for our kids.
Or you could say "OMG! She was so pretty! What on EARTH happened to her!"
