Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

Thanks everyone. I was thinking it was a big deal but maybe it's not. My sister doesn't have children yet and won't be for another couple of years so my OH said when she has hers it would be close to ours and they would be brought up together as cousins so ours wouldn't be lost with nobody it's own age to play with.

My step kids are 21 and almost 25. Our kids together are 11 and 7. I don't think it's a big deal at all. My DS7 adores his two oldest siblings and my DD11 has just found that she and SS24 both love anime. She told me they talked about it for 2 hours while he babysat them last week. I worried about my two not really knowing their older siblings because of the huge age gap but it's all been working out.
I am the middle of 3 girls, one 3 years older and the other 6 years younger. The older and younger are closer to each other than I am to either of them, so I'd say age doesn't really matter.
