I was definitely a free-range kid. Can you imagine... I'd ride my bike with no safety gear to friend's house down the road & we would play all over the neighborhood... cross the highway to the 7/11 to buy candy... and not come home until our parents were outside yelling for us to come home at sundown... because we didn't have cell phones!! Heck, most times I wouldn't even wear shoes in the summer!

Wait a minute... is that the modern equivalent to "I walked 10 miles to school in the snow...?"
