Divorce decree and custody orders...when are they no longer binding??

Where2Begin's picture

If in a divorce decree/custody orders there is language to the effect that non-custodial parent can not have child in the presence of {a certain person}. When would you think that restriction is no longer enforceable...subject to contempt? when the child turns 18? forever enforceable?

Usually, these orders are in reference to the "minor" children. Once they reach the age of majority, then I would say it no longer applies. If they are old enough to enlist in the armed services and vote, then I would say they are old enough to choose their own company.
