Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

Thank You!
We are very excited!
We also decided not to have the skids in the wedding, due to us not wanting any drama if at all avoidable. They are going to come for the ceremony and then having them takin back to BM's. I do have one issue, I really, really want my 2 yo old to be my flower girl, but I don't want to hurt anyone else's feelings because she would be the only one participating. Is there a way to do this without causing more problems?

Sweetie,
Take it from someone who is in the midst of her own wedding drama - do what you want and never apologize for it! If you want your daughter in the wedding - do it!! This is your wedding and you do not owe the skids anything. Chances are they don't want to be part of the ceremony anyway so why place yourself in a situation where they could potentially ruin your wedding.

I agree!
I think I will include my daughter and go from there. We are both so nervous about them ruining something! It's so nerve racking! lol Ugh!

Trust me you are doing the right thing. My SD 15 is no longer in our wedding because of her refusal to apologize to me for something she did to me back in SEPT.
Her behavior has screwed me and DH out of over $700.00 - that included bridesmaid dress, plane ticket and gift.

Hi friend!
I am so happy for you! Hopefully SS will behave appropriately during the ceremony. What about SD....is she still acting OK with it?
Hi Sia!
Thank you! I'm so excited!!
The proposal was amazing! I'm hoping SS will mind his manners and keep his behavior under control, but lately he's not been that great at all, so FH and I have our doubts. SD is still happy about it, she's just decided last night that she doesn't want to be in the ceremony, she just wants to watch. Which is TOTALLY fine with me!
AWESOME
sounds like things are going to work out for you after all!
Congrats!
And best wishes to the both of you!
