You are here

I'm sitting here in the hospital with my DH.

He has pancreitis. Can you believe it? We've been here since 2am on Wednesday morning and it looks like we'll be here until Monday. I can't believe that he has this, he doesn't touch alcohol EVER. He is just not a drinker at all. They are saying they think he had a gaulstone and that caused it. Though, theres no proof of the gaulstone any longer but they do believe that's the cause.

So here we are, sure as shit, I'm sick as a damn dog and I'm up here with my husband who is sick as a dog. Quite a pair aren't we? I feel so bad for him, I'll get better soon, but he is just so sick. This big man of mine was doubled over in pain just about on the verge of tears it hurt so bad. I've never been so scared in all my life.

My sitter has our baby girl and she said she'll keep her as long as I need her to, free of charge. Thank goodness for her. And you guys won't beleive this but BM has helped me more than I can admit. She has been right there and would do anything I ask of her. I can't believe how much she's helped me. She's keeping my son for me. She said he can stay as long as he needs to. I think Sunday night I'll have to go home with the baby (because I can't stand not seeing her) and make sure my son catches the bus for school. But hopefully Monday morning he'll be coming home.

This is so strange to me. I still can't believe this happened to him.

Oh stepmomjen, sending big (((HUGS))) to you & DH.

I had gallstones earlier this year, and they can cause all sorts of side effects (I was jaundiced, had infections & all sorts). I'm glad BM is stepping up to the plate too - who knows, it might signal the start of a much better chapter for you guys getting on (trying to find the silver lining for you)

Thinking of you x

SMJ, I hope your hubby and you feel better soon. That's horrible. When it rains it pours, huh? Thank goodness for the kindness of others. Hopefully, your BM 'saw the light' after her last bout in the hospital and now realizes all that you've done for her in the past. Something good can come from this.

Hang in there!

you when push comes to shove in serious health conditions or accidents, you'ld be surprised what peopel put aside. When my dh's ex wife had a car accident and was hospitalized, he put his hate aside and she was acutally nice. My cousin made a joke saying, the morphine will wear out and she'l be her ol self. He was right. She was on pain killers for 7 days. Onthe 8th she turned nasty to my dh when he called to see if she was ok...Keep in mind they were great for the week! lol...
Its good to see she has yoru back.

I don't think pancreatitis stems from drinking. I think most of the time it just comes out of no where. I hope you both feel better. Thats awesome that BM is helping out.

Kat, as bad as this hurts I think I'll let him keep this one! LOL! Just kidding, I would do anything for him and I hate that he is in such pain. I miss his big arms around me, I do sneak a kiss here and there but I'm about ready to crawl in his bed with him and put his arms around me. MUST HAVE HUGS!! Wink

Hoping you both feel better and get back to normal soon as possible. I am glad BM stepped up to the plate and is acting like a normal human being for this situation. Glad she didn't decide to act out like some others would.

Get well soon.... You and your DH.

********She doesn't have to love me or even like me - it doesn't change a dang thing..... So get over it and move on BM!************

Jen! I'm so sorry you're going through this and so sorry for hubby!!!! You hang in there and I'll be praying for all of you!!! (((HUGS)))

He is waking up alot today and he is being a mean old ass. Damn he's grouchy. I told him if he doesn't stop I'm going to hide his pain med. button. I guess I don't blame him though, I'd be grouchy to!

Jen, stick with him. I don't know what pancreatitis feels like, but I just found out I have a bulging disk in my back. They gave me Vicodin (yay!), but it took almost six weeks for that to happen so I have been a major GROUCH! I apologized to DH when the pain meds kicked in, but it's like I couldn't help being moody because chronic pain is NO FUN!

Hopefully he (and you) pulls through this with flying colors!
