Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

I'm STILL here!!!!
Thanks for asking, Stick! I'm here for a 3 week conference (unreal, right?). It's nice, but there's such a thing as too much of a good thing. I'm really ready to be home. Luckily, DH came to visit for the second week, but he left yesterday.
So, now when I get on StepTalk, I feel like I'm 6 hours behind everyone else!
I'm trying to keep up on my off time, though!

Belleboudeuse!
It is unreal!! Hopefully they are giving you enough time to actually enjoy Hawaii instead of being stuck in conferences all day and get togethers with co-workers EVERY single night!!
I know what you mean about too much of a good thing though... I was in Cancun at a beautiful resort miles outside the city (Moon Palace) on the beach for 3 weeks. I never thought I'd get sick of the sun, the pool, the free drinks and the food!! But I did miss home!! (I surprised myself!!) Of course, that was 2 years ago and now I'm like... Wow... remember when we were in Cancun?? I need to go back!!
Have fun! So glad to see you still on here even while you are away!!
good to see you!
I'm glad to hear that you're doing ok. Hope you're getting a little R&R while you're there.
Okay, You now have me Jonesing for the islands.
We went last year for 10 days (all fun, no work). It was great.
Enjoy. And don't make it all work and no play.A
At least hit some of the cool stuff.
Best regards,

Thanks, everyone!
My only complaint: it's HOOOOOTTTT! And I LOVE hot weather. But Hawaii in June is a little much for me. Generally in the summer, I'm outside as much as possible, but here I'm out for 5 minutes and feel like I'm getting skin cancer! Oh well, that's what bars and mai tais are for, right? Matter of fact, I think I'll head down to the beach right now...
