My own son was about this age when I made him wear a shirt all the time. He was given the option, either he would wear a shirt, or his sister and I would strip ours off so we had "equal rights" in the house.

The thought of mom boobs and sister boobs had him :sick: and to this day, he wears a shirt around me unless in the pool/at the beach.

Afraid that wouldn't have worked when Ss was that age. He had a major crush. Lol

He can take off his shirt to swim or shower. Otherwise, clothing must be worn.

Does your DH walk around shirtless? If he does, you're kind of sunk because he won't enforce it and skid "wants to be like daddyyyy" but if your DH doesn't, there ya go. "Your father doesn't walk around shirtless. Decent people just don't do that!"

Or HELL bribe the kid. Buy him a few t-shirts with stuff he loves on them so he'll want to wear them.

If either of my SSs walked around with no shirt I would just put my cold hands on their backs }:) I’m anemic so my hands are always freezing cold.

icky. My ds and ss would occasionally go shirtless back when they were toddlers. My ss moved out when he was 9. At around age 10- 11, just sort of sponateously he would want to get up in the morning and come out in nothing but his boxers. He is freakishly skinny-and I do mean freakishly-so it was just as gross to look at as man boobs-not to mention highly inappropriate considering my dd, his ss, was the same age, and he also had a stepbrother and halfsister whom didn't want to see that crap either.

I don't know if he started doing this because it was something he did at his bm's and got used or if it was just another indication for his budding sexually predatory behavior. I think sometimes we just brush things off as normal-when there are times when they really are NOT normal and it's always best to err on the side of caution.

Your ss is old enough to hear that at his age he is too old to be walking around shirtless. If he really likes to be shirtless he can sit in his room with the door closed otherwise don't leave the room unless completely dressed.

Nope not wrong. OSS had this problem as well. Of course Guilty Daddy didn't see it as a problem as he constantly walks around the house shirtfree and often naked. All three skids inherited pasty white as a ghost skin and LoTS of Michelin man FLAB!!

Not only did he walk around shirtless, but also in his whitey tighties as well. Disturbing. And SD at the time approx 7, would run around naked in FRONT OF HER BROTHERS, clutch her chest and scream at the top of her lungs "LOOK AT MY BOOBIES, LOOK AT MY BOOBIES!!"

Now I come from a family where decorum is utmost. I raised my own bios that way. BS who happens to be swarthy AND thin/muscular would NEVER EVER be allowed to come to the breakfast table or walk around shirtless. I would always say "no naked indians" and he got the message. Also no hats on in the house either.

I had to look the other way when the flabulous three were at my house because Guilty Daddy turned into MONSTER PAPPA GRIZZLY should I even LOOK at them the "wrong way!"

Good luck trying to get some decorum going if his DAD goes around half naked!!!

Tell him if he doesn't put a shirt on that you're going to make him wear a man-bra... (like the one on 'Seinfeld').
