Is that if you google it, my ST blogs are blended in with about a thousand other hits for the Sita Tara goddess. You might consider using the name siamese cat. I think your blogs would be completely lost in that sea of hits!

Sorry to hear about your kitty. I had a cat for 17 years who saw me through marriage, divorce, re-marriage. She knew me longer than most of my human friends.

So sorry about the kitty. One of mine past away at home in Jan and I was DEVASTATED.

the name changes are confusing me.. so I am not really even sure who you are right now. Sorry.

So far I think I have followed the name changes, some because you have sent private msg. or have given some kind of clue, or the things you normally talk about, but I am having trouble figuring this one out? please help if you can.

The google bit freaked me out too but if you google 'most evil' it brings up tons of stuff too. I was thinking of changing because it sounds like I am mean but I think I will keep it, it is kind of like the final word in SM b*tchdom in a way (joke!).

I am so sorry about your kitty. I had one for almost 20 years and I swear to God I still mourn her, 10+ years after she is gone, and haven't had another one yet (cause we don't have a good place for one yet). But I love them so much and it KILLS when this happens. I hope you get to see her again one day!

It was seriously difficult to put the cat to sleep. I have been so sad about it lately. I posted about it on my blog on myspace if you are there. If you would like to add me, just PM me and I will give you the link. Smile

First off... I did not know people could google like that, How do they pull it up? I mean what exactly do they type in to get to that site?

And I am sorry about your kitty, I had one for 7 years that died young of gongestive heart failure,
He passed away in 07-07-02, I light a candle for him every year on the day he died, infact it will be in a couple days that I'll be lighting that candle for him and looking at his picture. I loved that cat more then my sorry a*s x, Infact he was jelous over my cat.

In good memorie of your baby adopt one from animal control and save a life in remembrence of the one that gave you good companionship.
He left you but also left a new start for another that needs a wonderful new mommy to love.

Your posts will show up.

I don't think anyone would figure yours out though.

My prior name contained zen. That is what my entire family calls me. Then, when I posted about a poet friend passing away, I included her name. My mom (who knows about this site) googled the poet, and my ST blog came up! Since the other women from my writing retreat would be able to read very personal details my mom freaked and told me to change it. At first I just removed the poet's name from the post and that worked in that instance.

The thing I feared most was that SD would find my posts. If she came to this site now, she would have a harder time figuring out who I am compared to my prior name being instantly recognizable to her. I have said a lot about both her and BM's mental issues and I would hate for SD to read that about herself, especially not knowing that she even has that problem.

Catch22's picture

So even though there are 62,000 websites with catch22 in them, and 40 bands called Catch 22 and I have nothing to worry about...Who the heck would know to search that name anyway, My Dh doesn't know I am catch22 here and neither does anyone else...Please tell me who would think to google your screen name unless you used your real name :?

I don't know but I am sure Cru's Dh and skids don't walk around yelling "Cruella where's your pan??" My family certainly wouldn't know who Catch was if I wrote it on my shirt...

Yours in Confusion..?

true story: once google "spiders" the info out there on the web, apparently it can be found in a search for eternity. It doesn't matter if the page no longer exists as a functional page, the info will still be found in a google search. This is just how good of a search engine google is... scary eh? So sparents, I have to say that if your concerned in the slightest that someone will find your posts and comments, please be sure to cover your profile tracts well, or have a nondescript screen name, because basically onces its out there in cyber space, chances are there is no way to be sure its deleted for good. Hope this tidbit helps.

is that the cached version that remains on a google search is ONLY the Header and the first few sentences (the ones that appear under your header on the main pages of the website. If you click on the blog link the rest of the blog is NOT available.

If you want to see what I mean, google KarmaQueen, scroll thru the results until you find KarmaQueens Blog/Steptalk. Click on Cached (which is the snapshot we are talking about above). You will see my blog headers and the first few lines, but if you try to click in for more, its gone.

So from now on, I will adding a page break just after the first sentence of my blog.

I guess its an extra safe guard.

I'm not that worried. I only changed my name because it was so attached to me, being nicknamed zen and called that by my entire family. My kids know about the site, but there are a million step sites so it would be hard to figure it out. I just didn't want to leave no doubt WHICH SM blog I was!

Now they still could technically find it if they really really wanted to. But it would take a lot more searching and reading (especially my long winded stuff!) to find out that Sita is their mom!
