John and Kate bite the dust.

Rags's picture

Sad, sad, sad. But, not surprising considering the increasing tension and lack of communication building over the past 3 or so years.

I honor their decision to let the kids stay in their home and John and Kate rotate out on their alternating schedules.

Wow, truly sad.

Everyone hug your spouse tonight and tell your kids/Skids that you love them.

Best regards,

Who is John and Kate?

Rags, I share your sentement. I was very sad for that family.. but I do think that she should have treated him better over the years.. two years ago, I said to my dh that she better start treating him better, because its only a matter of time before he gets sick of being treated like dirt.

I am sad to say that I was right. He is away for work this week, so I sent him a text message telling him what happened.. and then I made sure to put a plug in for my marriage, by letting my dh know that I love and miss him.

Last night me and DH watched and discussed it... It seemed to me that Jon is relieved to get out of his marriage as well as his responsibilities. Everyone can try to blame Kate but to me, it seems as if Jon was clueless. He needed her guidance! Now she could have communicated with him better but she was leading that household. Jon always say that they were young when they married and had all of the kids very fast...OK! so did Kate...Children are stressful. Where I think they went wrong is that they forgot about each other. All last night all they ever said they wanted was for the kids happiness. Nothing was ever said about what they wanted for each other. Every thing can not always be about the children! That is why so many people get divorced because one (usually mom) or both parents put all of there focus on the children! What happened to nourishing your marriage??? I don't blame Kate for being hard, no she is not perfect but she raises her kids and makes sure they have a lot of wonderful opportunities. Jon is just shakng his responsibilities to his marriage and children...What happen for better and for WORSE???

Everytime I think my own marriage is getting to it's breaking point, I have to go back to my vows that I said before the LORD! No one ever said it would be easy...
